I meditate. I also evoke the feelings of the day before going to bed and pacify them. Often feelings are not properly felt, especially uncomfortable ones, and linger around as moods and shit. Also, religion or spirituality helps a lot. Connecting to something greater than yourself is very liberating.

 Interesting that you focus on the feelings, if I ever feel like there's unresolved things from a day it's usually solved by making a to do list for tomorrow
