Yes, that's why I can't relate. But also caring about what other people from highschool are doing and judging them sounds boring. It also sounds like a way to look down upon others from your soap box.
Isn't it normal for people to try to draw comparisons between themselves and those they know?
Sure it is, but it's not normal to say you are/were a negative person because there were people that didn't strive to achieve more. "Stupid, nauseating and plain" and yet are probably happier than most because they aren't hung up on what other people have or haven't achieved.
Why not fix your own situation in life and move on? I don't imagine any of those people are looking him up on Facebook, looking through his posts finding out he's never really left his home state, looking at the selfies he's got posted and going "man, no wonder I was an asshole. This guy is just nauseating and plain"
