Well, true to some extent...

However, when an "expert witness" is to testify, they have to have vetted credentials to do so.  I guess it's a bit of "pre-screening" which amounts to calling into question the reliability of the expert's expertise.  I'm not sure if it's entirely relevant here, but ...if we're making psychological evaluations, the psychological knowledge and experience of a person can come under question.  And since psychology is "about the mind", I would imagine reasonable sanity is a bit of a prerequisite.  Otherwise, we'd start having the lunatics running the asylum.  I'm sure they'd at least be proven NOT to have whatever disorder they are being called to weigh in on.

Hmmm what if someone escaped the metal hospital(like you no doubt did) and claimed aliens did 911? Should we not realize that we cant take that person as seriously? What if a little kid told you there was a monster under his bed? What if a known criminal told you he didn't do it? I think personal facts and bias should help me decide 100% if my opponent is reliable and if they can even be trusted. Just like if some one highly emotionally unstable was arguing against me(which is whats happening)I would realize they dont really know what they are talking about and not take them to seriously. Also considering what turn coat said my prediction was pretty much 90% accurate so now who look stupid blanc? You going to pretend to leave again?

You might as well be predicting what color the sky will be tomorrow. It's hardly a real guess when I'm making no effort to hide it.

At least for the more lucid ones, that's arguably preferable. When it comes to looking at people in the field, it's similar to the level of understanding one might expect from AA: The afflicted understand that others like themselves need help, relating to the problems and recognizing symptoms first-hand, while those without the perception of themselves having problems will likely see it as a disease that must be purged in a textbook fashion instead of something to self-adapt to. 

My best professors were a little nutty.
