The value is all on the buyer and what they want for the tree/seed. They both have their equal advantages and downfalls that dont outweigh the other in value conceptually. If the buyer is a bad farmer, the tree is their choice. If the farmer has quite the green thumb, the seed is preferable and could be grown to be better. 

Time and personal value are what distinguish which of the two is preferable and again that is entirely situational.

Time, a lot of energy put into raising it, and the fact that a tree is already successful in reaching maturity and providing more seeds. A seed might as well not grow into anything. Its value is purely theoretical while the tree is palpable value.

Again: go sell a seed. Go sell a tree. Which one is considered more valuable? The entire PURPOSE of a seed is to grow into a tree. Preffering to lose a tree (adult )instead of a seed (child) doesn't make much sense.

3. What would be your thinking to someone sexually abusing your child?

I agree with that, there's a risk in both situations. The child obviously is a significantly larger risk, but if groomed correctly could be anything. While the older person is a bit more consistent, smaller risk and could still fuck up, also less potential. Time, effort and situational value are the deciding factor here

Farmers dont buy trees or whole crops for that matter.
