I tend to get obsessive, creepily so and its a bad thing. Its not exactly something i want to encourage.

What if the tree is already the best that seed can achieve?

My point is that believing kids are more valuable than adults is stupid/illogical. If anything, it could be very well be the opposite.

Someone still went through the effort of growing that tree(parent), the value of the tree goes down simply because you didn't raise it?  

Does your seed gain more value if you put it in cute little shotas?

This would be an extra special snowflake exception ....with a beneficial outcome on several fronts...

You've lost me as I feel ed and meta are being literal and I'm using it as a metaphor in how it aligns to in a similiar way to what inky was saying.

You don;t have others to build the kids strong in your equation though. It is simply kid vs adult. A kid we assume has the exact opportunities the adult has had.

Better yet, let's take the same person as a kid, vs the same guy as an adult. Why would he as a kid be worth more than after years of education, experience, reaching maturity and being able to give more children to society?
