It makes sense how you'd even joke about me trying to steal your boyfriend. If only he gave you have as much attention as I.
Just take him Xena -_-

I wrote that drunk, and really that word selection reflects it. But the spirit of it and my humor at it remains. Basically what I read was, "reality is extremely complex, but the human mind is feeble. We can't see everything. And there are contradictions in physics." (I assume you are talking about how quantum laws don't match the laws set forth by Einstein, and other such abstractions).
We came from jungles probably thinking the Sun was God, to flying airplanes casually. Have a little faith.
Don't get me wrong, I have enormous confidence in humanity and the scientific method. I'm often in awe of what we've achieved as a species, and what we'll continue to achieve. Side note: I love saying "what we have achieved" when, in all honestly, I'm sitting on the sofa in my pyjamas eating a pizza right now.
Buuuut when it comes to decrypting "reality" (whatever the fuck that actually means), the origins of the universe or our place within it... Doubt it. And probably for good reason. We've evolved to delude ourselves in lots of ways - it's protective.
I don't think we'll find an answer in the stars, but I hope we'll never stop looking. Boldness - not intelligence - is my favourite thing about human beings.
We deluded ourselves into figuring out how to build aircraft? You are contradicting yourself.

That doesn't sound like enormous confidence. It sounds like you basically avoided what I was talking about in favor of how you feel about shit. By the way, I am more bothered by contradiction than truth. Fucking blow up a planet and suck a CEO's dick.

...we really should talk....Neural regeneration vs Neural plasticity...which of those two would you choose to study? Why?
@Virus To be at God's side is to know love unlike anything you have ever felt before...
~ bats eyes ~...such a charmer .... :-)
( tucks narc cape back in pocket..lol..)
If got is real, he is definitely none of the gods people have ever written about in any holy book ever. They are not real and you should completely dismiss them.
The current data doesn't point to a god, therefor you should continue with the assumption of him not being existent.

Do you believe in this?

"Not just a "bang" from nothing."
That is the biggest thorn in the side of my skepticism.
Infinite regress.
Latest theory i heard is that is actually a pulsating event, which fits the pattern of all other phenomena in the universe. So the universe expands and contracts.
No, I'm not a Xtian.
I'm an extremely skeptical agnostic. You could almost call me an atheist, but for that infinite regress conundrum.
The religious philosophy was an academic exercise. I treat it like literature bc some mythology is very entertaining.
I also study religion to understand what makes (some) people tick, and to understand what they value.
MOTO...
There is a God and many many books have been written on the subject, about the subject, and for the subject... Holy Spirit inspiration abounds through the ages... it pains me you are so shallow and can not see this, and dismiss so freely... why do you rely on only your flesh?
