I'm not angry. Not at all.

I don't see fault here, either. Not on me and certainly not on you.

This is how I communicate, at my most earnest and  my most conniving.

I'm flipping your words around and examining your meanings from a few different angles, by substituting other words and other similar situations, in an attempt to foster a better understanding and a more coherent directive than the one you've given.

I'll add that I think it's threatening to see someone healing inside and becoming more confident in who they are. Maybe not to other confident people, but ones who still need to tear people down to build themselves up, as a compensation for not having confidence.

I used to get enraged when I could no longer emotionally wreck someone I felt inferior towards. If I saw this person starting to believe in themselves and think good about themselves, I would sabotage that. How dare that bitch think we'll of herself if I can't!

It came off as you trying to make me feel bad about myself. It sounded as though you were saying that me acting like a skanky whore was my example of being my authentic self, so that it comes off as ridiculous and embarrassing, and I should maybe not show my authentic self if all I am is a skanky whore?

Thereby dismissing me as someone with no merit of any kind, and stripping me of all credentials. 

I can't see another way to see your play on my words. Honestly...

It's possible to bare too much of our souls as well.

When I'm dealing with assholes and trolls and creeps, I tend to show less rather than more.

I know the games and I know which topics are the favourite trolling tacks.

I know where certain discussions are most likely to end up, and where the regulars will cherrypick and make assumptions (hence the photoshopping midgets and corpses analogy) to make a glimpse of emotional vulnerability into smthg truly obscene, just to assuage their creepy boredom and need for a vulgar spectacle.

The nastiness was not directed at you. It was directed at the gaggle of trolls in this place.

You can be your authentic self and not bear too much of your soul. No matter what you argue, it's ego you're protecting. I can show my true self on this forum and still not give up the safety of my life away from this forum. 

When talking about being authentic, we're not talking about sharing your phone number, address, pictures of yourself, location you live at and specific stories about your life. You can be genuine and honest without those things. 

So far, I only see armour in all your posts. You can't convince me that constantly referring to your posts here as some false persona of you, and saying you only let a few people here see the true you, people who are "worth it", isn't about protection of ego and rejection. 

If you want to convince me you are trying to conserve energy, I won't believe that either. You put a lot of energy into this place. Wasted energy. There's no telling what you could have accomplished in all the time you've spent on here defending your ego, and trying to make a bunch of strangers understand you.

But any further explanation is getting into more self disclosure than I'm comfortable with on this forum.

I will concede that I've spent too much time here doing nothing useful, tho.

I know it is. That's why I see you the way I do. Because I don't see why going further with a discussion about your ego, can harm anything other than your ego. Sorry.

I enjoyed reading that post. Your writing style is lovely. Compelling and easy to relate to. I think your book will do well, so please finish it.
