Do you know how easy it is to sneak into a crowd and shove a blade into a person's soft tissues and then run away?

Depending on where in the US the hypothetical meetup is, I could bleed out before anybody even notices I've been stabbed.

Fuck that. You'd get me with weapons or not at all :p

So skittish. No one would even have to do anything to you if you come in with weapons, as you'd be making a mockery out of yourself as the wedding's entertainment. It's also amazing that you give people here that much murder-cred, although I suppose having all eyes on you from such a display would be a defense of it's own against these supposed sneak-stabs.

Why would you even need weapons anyway? Your tales of the past have presented you somewhat as an improvised weapons expert.

Um...

I just said I would not bring you people around my family.

Which includes a wedding.

srsly?

Have you met anybody from here who truly dislikes you?

Like I said, if I were to attend an SC meetup, I'd be armed.

I most certainly would not meet most of you at a special event with my family present.

You also said quite a bit about bringing weapons out of fear for your own safety. Bringing up the family part is questionably connected.

Once you got to this part...

Jeez Louise, an SC wedding would be like this without the Disney boat and fake swords.

...I assumed you were talking generally, or about GerardW. This...

Hell yes I'll be armed if I ever meet any of you weirdos.

...further solidified the general-ness assumption. You only brought up the specifics of family in a couple of instances.

Semantics aside, so you would meet up with us, without weapons, if your family weren't present? You seem to be trying to build a connection between the two ideas with your correction, as I was talking purely about your need to bring weaponry. I'd think your family being with you would decrease the odds of the supposed sneak-stabbing you seem so worried about.

I'm not experiencing a specific  'worry' about a specific situation, Turn.

I'm just putting the odds out there.

It's a fact. It's very easy to sneak up and maim or kill somebody when you have the cover of a crowd.

You want specifics? I would meet up with no more than 5 of you at any given time, but I would prefer only one or 2.

I would be armed, no matter which of you I'd be meeting.

There are a few of you that I find so thoroughly distasteful that I would not meet you at all.

There are 2 or 3 that I could maim remorselessly and without any provocation besides what they've said to me this past year on SC.

The fuck are you talking about my family like that for?

I wouldn't bring you people around my family bc your atrocious lack of manners ought to embarass you.

I care what my family thinks of the company I keep.

There are a good number of people on this forum who would simply be removed from one of my family gatherings for the way they act.

My family would call the cops for half the shit people say here.

Are you really that boundary impaired?

Fuck, people don't just meet some looney on an internet forum and then bring them over to mom's house for tea.

There's a process of trust building that people go through before they introduce each other to family.

Most of you on SC have miserably failed every single rite of passage.

My list of SC members I would actually meet is here:

Yes I would be armed, even to meet the SC members I sorta like.

And it would be a long, long time of trust building exercises before any from that group would be allowed near my family.

Damien suggested that I invite people to my wedding. I said that was a horrible idea.

People at a wedding?! The horror!!!

If you aren't closet poofs, there's no need to fear...

You just don't want Frankie meeting your daddies :(

Lol, you're all over the place right now.

How many of us do you think would behave the same without a screen and keyboard as our shield?

I think a lot of people here would act more polite around you and your family and others here at a social event. How we act on here doesn't necessarily reflect how we act in real life around other people.

How I am here is more genuine than how I am off the net. Here, I can say exactly what's on my mind and talk about things that actually interest me instead of the boring shit that seems to interest other people (though, I feel like I can't always do that here either because I seem to have different interests than most of you).

I know how to be courteous and polite when I have to be in real life in order to blend in, but it's all bullshit because how I think doesn't change whether I'm online or off. I don't give a fuck about the person I'm putting on the act for. I lie to get what I want and any emotion I may display when I have to is all fake. In real life it's all an act.
