To become a Muslim, all you have to do, is say you convert.
Same for Christianity and most religions really.
Then, if someone is not a Muslim, they are infidels and, at best, are looked down at, at worst: CONVERT OR DIE.
Christians have done that plenty. Also, how many muslims go around forcing people to convert or die lmao? You lump together a lot of people without knowing shit. Did you know that Islam even allows marriage of a muslim man to a christian or jewish woman? Even Primal here grew up as a non muslim in a fundamentalist muslim country and she's still alive, isn't she. Stop believing all this simple-minded indoctrination bud.
If you die in the name of Allah, you get all sorts of good stuff and your sins are irrelevant.
Same in Christianity. They are called martyrs and it's a big thing. Some are even sanctified and people as those from your country go kiss their bones and mummified flesh and whatnot.
Alcohol and smoking is not good for an army.
Vices aren't good for anyone and all religions forbid them. Alcohol is particularly bad in heat, where islam is dominant. So is fat heavy meat like pork. Covering heads is very good in those areas too.
Lmao at smoking, where do you take your facts from. Tobacco comes from the New World, none of the abrahamic religions says anything about it. They mostly say, don't damage your fucking body. And even so, a lot of practicing muslims consider smoking permitted. Saying that "Islam forbids smoking because it's bad for an army" is ridiculous.
But sex is a great reward and women are not soldiers. So make women second level citizens and give men the right to rape women they capture. Now raping women in the army is different. I really dont want to go to details however.
Seeing you butcher out of ignorance a complex religion and the rich meaningful aspects that go with it this way is cringey to me.
Now lets look at Judaism. To became a part of that religion, you have to spend months to study some shit i don't even know or want to know about.(well i am not sure about nowadays)
Then to leave, you just say you leave.
I do not really know what those people do thought lol.
I quoted all those violent punishments from the Talmud and Bible to make the point that Islam isn't that different as an ancient religion. Judaism and Christianity evolved from applying those rules harshly due to local political influences and philosophers, while Islam hasn't done this completely and still retains sharia in some areas. This is not due to the religion itself, but to the political powers wielding it.
As for Christianity.
Christianity was never made as a weapon of war.
What the
It was a moral code book and i honestly think it was very good for the time it was made at. A time when people were uncivilized and quite savage. Having a religion that would at least motivate you to care about being more moral was great. Of course there are some gaps and problems, but it was overall better, for that time.
And while it is relatively easy to join Christianity, its also simple to leave it.
But to stay true to Christianity, you really limit your self from having fun. You have to devote your life to God, be humble, no sex, only for creating children, no masturbation, no drinking and other shit i dont remember/know. And if you do not want to, well you can just leave.
If you do wrong, you can pray in the church, you wont DIE. Might burn in hell thought lol.
Its easy to spread(and its forced) Islam and its hard to leave it. Its like a plague, quite quite.
Later it was used as a power tool in civilized society and at this point it was no longer the religion it was made(when the church had more power then the "state"). While Islam still is exactly the same. Those people were the people who waged wars and tortured. They killed people in the name of their agenda, not of religion. They used the religion as an excuse. Islam is followed by religions fanatics, they are not lead by manipulators, they are lead by the teachings of Islam.
The fundamental difference is, that when christianity was used as a tool of war, it made sense(for the most part) from the point of view of those in power. Islam makes no sense at all, the fanatics win nothing, they are morons. They do not fight over power or resources. They want Islamic law on the entire planet. Because Allah.
Christianity was never like Islam. Christianity tried to create a morality, that was its goal. While it does fail, due it being super fucking old, that was the reason for its existence. Muhammad literary sat down and thought about how to make people fight for him without them betraying him. Thats how Islam was born.
What a fucking mess you typed here Meta. You mixed early Christianity, with present times, with the Dark ages...
First off at first Christianity was anything but easy to join, you'd be hunted and persecuted for it. Later, leaving it or not being Christian or even the same type of Christian could have easily costed your life.
Christianity is the most successful religion as far as spreading goes, way more than Islam.
Christianity was used to kill the largest number of people in history. Leaders used it to gain or maintain power, kill and wage wars against pagans or other Christians the same way some islamic leaders do now. Some Christians leaders were deeply religious themselves. Look at Mary I of England, "Bloody Mary" for how many Protestants she fucked up. A lot of the crimes committed by Christians came from deep Christian convictions after indoctrination in a certain direction. The fact that the same fucking religion can have so many manifestations and interpretations time wise and space wise should tell you that it's not the religions, but the political powers who have the biggest say in how the masses interpret said religion. Also, the reverse. A leader can secularize an entire country to a great degree if he wants to, just look at Ataturk. How you fail to connect the dots amazes me.
Building walls is actually not legislation and its important. Every home has walls, every garden has walls, every building has walls. Its a border and borders are good. There is nothing inherently evil in borders or border control. That doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense that you bring this up either, but whatever(as its irrelevant to the subject, like completely). If the country is policed well, then they wont fucking kill you at the border and they will let you in. If its not policed well, why the fuck are you going there, or expect it to be shit. What makes no sense is to imagine that the entire world is fine and dandy. You don't have remove all the zoo cages to feed the lions... you can open the gate and have an exchange. Its common sense not to be a retard.
Walls won't make whatever is behind them go away. I am against walls built out of fear and selfishness, by cowards who refuse to take responsibility and participate, help and deal with a difficult situation.
