The scenario of the woman offering to pay for the meal, and the man allowing it ?
I think it's fine. Hell, I'd argue how a woman that gives and secures a man's wealth is a better catch, and is less likely to take him for a ride and run off with half his belongings.
What if the woman was the primary money-maker, or even as far as the man being the dependent in the relationship? A woman paying for the meal isn't about "securing a man's wealth" any more than it is when it's the genders swapped, purely judgeable in a case by case basis outside of gender. At most, society finds one more excusable than the other, which might make for more commonality from one than the other, but there's more than enough cases of men having to rely on a woman to survive to not slap a sexist assumption onto it.
It doesn't matter who makes more money. If the woman offers to pay for the meal, then so be it. On that note again, a person who gives is a better catch, as opposed to one that never does.
What I was responding to in that regard I've posted. There's no reason to complain if the woman offers to pay for the meal then actually pays for it.
As an inventor and creative artist, I find that quote 100% true.

Get your head out of the clouds and let's get real here. It only takes 1 person to fuck up a relationship. If that weren't the case, then we'd see more ongoing relationships. People don't need their partners approval to end the relationship,.
That's mostly true, but there are people who can only really leave if the other is why they're splitting, or if it was an agreed upon consensus.
What people want and don't want to do in their relationships, does not determine the capability to sever it, no matter how difficult the situation.
Generally when a relationship is ending, both people are fucking up at once, but it does technically only take one of them fucking up to throw a spanner into the works.
Generally when a relationship between a man and woman ends, usually one of them would like to save it. It takes 2 to make it work, but if 1 of them pull it, then it only took 1 to break it off.
For the first time in 2014 I ended my relationship with my cheating off and on ex. I don't feel sour over it because the feelings i had for her were long gone. She was actually getting on my nerves too. I never pointed any fingers here, even though I caught her cheating. I felt no way about it, and at the time my heart was with another. Best thing to do was move on.
As for the woman I have the strongest feeling for. She's pretty fucked up. It wouldn't surprise me if she would get 2 men come to my house and throw me in the back of a car, then put me in a cell.
You sound like you really know how to pick 'em Spatial. I wonder how much that your views on women might be steering you towards women that will prove your views correct.
My views on women is nothing more than seeing them as people. There are women that I admire a great deal, and would make a better companion for me than many others, but that doesn't mean I want to start a relationship with them.
This also screams emotional rewrite of events. So many people are prone to this, not to save face with others, but to save face with themselves. I have a hard time believing that you've been fine across this entire thing, especially with the views that are likely a backlash of your past relations with women. If it was really this sort of ease, then you likely weren't very attached in the first place.
Well. With this ex it's been off and on for 19 years. That's a lot of stress TC. Going off and on like that. The feelings begin to die out. I referred to her as a boomerang quite a few times. It was always her calling it off, then coming back. I told her she can't keep flicking the switch and it's true. Last time she did that, another woman magically stepped into my life right on cue. That one never turned out too well cause she was nuts. Had me researching sociopaths and shit trying to figure out what's up with her, and when the ex returned, she was furious about that, and how am I suppose to even feel the same about her. Due to our long history I let her back into my life. It during that chapter she cried to me about being raped. I doubt that happened cause when I asked to hear the story, she wouldn't tell me who he is, and the story involved weed, which she's addicted to.
I'm trying to explain to you why I don't feel any of this TC. I was writing about my case in an effort to correct Ed's assumption that women reject me, when in fact they don't.
Moving on, I went to her place one day, and when I came out of the shower I listened to her talk on the phone to some guy she was fucking for a good 20 minutes. Now it's like this. I'm a financially secure guy, plus I received a nice inheritance to boot. I was 36 at the time and at this age I'm known to have wasted my time with this person.
I know usually people would get emotional over this, but remember, my heart is elsewhere at this point. My own loyalty was no longer of service to me and I called it off without ever losing any sleep over it.
As a matter of fact, a lot of weight came off of my shoulders. I understand why it would seem like this is some emotional rant, cause if it happened in your relationship, it would fuck you up, but you need need to recognize it's not like your relationship was damn near 20 years of forgive and forget. I never wanted to become infatuated with another, we don't really control that and it happened, lol I have to distance myself from that one too.
At my age I'm the plan B guy. The divorced, the single mothers, those who want to finally settle after riding countless cock, my friends distressed wife, widowed women, cheating women etc.... I'm supposedly that guy.
That thing you said about me being steered toward women who will make my views correct, has some merit, but I don't see all women as the same either.
I don't think any of this has to do with me being a man, and none of the women in my life hate me. ( Maybe the crazy one does I just don't make contact with it )

The crazy one is a BPD. She still calls even though I haven't called her once since 2011, meanwhile she still has me hooked. It's a bazaar case you wouldn't understand, but that game has been deflecting bullets and dodging other failed attempts of abuse. I'm quite marveled at it, cause it's kinda adventurous in that sense. It's wise to use an audio recorder just being around her, it can save a guys life from the blind law. Oh yes she can easily be a man hater for all I know.
