He knew their training, He knew he could not wake them up. They were basically programmed. He and the dog were both dead if he did nothing. So, prime directive kicks in= Save your ass.. Non negotiable. i.e. to kill for another, but not die for them= win/win. ( that will also depend on the probability of survival one vs two and that would be on the fly based on the relationship) That is black and white scenarios. What about gray zones? Spatial made some good points. I know you mostly leap over his posts, but read the recent ones...reasonable. When he goes into the ether, I also tune out, but when he is making sense...he is IMO at any rate.
