Having A Good Cry

What makes you cry?

Lots of things make me cry. Sad movies, my period, hayfever. And stupidly huge penises. Blah

Do you try not to cry?

I try not to cry about penises  :&

Do you see crying as weak?

Not at all. Crying feels at least as good as peeing and better than laughing sometimes.

I love crying

Have you ever been told you cry to much?

No. I try not to do it in front of other people.

Too little?

Not really.  I was called  a douchebag of the highest order once, for cracking jokes when other people thought I should be crying. But that's prolly not the same as being told I don't cry enough.

Don't feel bad. You're important to me. :)

When I'm here that is. Only when you're here at the same time I'm here, of course.

If it was a sorry attempt I wonder that you would even need skill to spot it? Good job taking this opportunity to brag about your talents. Your humility is overwhelming. <3

What makes you cry?

Shock with fear and a long buildup, sometimes. It's pretty rare and jarring, as normally my autopilots try to shut it off.

Do you try not to cry?

I'd rather be able to, as it's a passionate outlet. I tend to try to let it out and fail as opposed to trying actively to stop it.

For whatever reason, I can't seem to be able to normally. It takes a lot and never lasts.

Do you see crying as weak?

It's more about frequency, motivations, and extremes. Never doing it can be just as bad as doing it constantly.

Have you ever been told you cry to much?

Quite the opposite. I tend to have people question if I care or have a soul.

I do have some feelings, but they tend to have a reduced expression and duration (if not a strange one). It takes a fair amount to make me care about something personally, and once there my natural response seems to be resisting the feeling from it being foreign (when it's not fear anyway). Even being happy is kind of haunting.

"What makes you cry?"

I guess seeing someone I can empathize with in extreme sadness, or put into situations where they lose all or many of the things they value. I tear up more during TV shows and movies than I do in real life. Maybe because the things I see in movies/shows that make me cry, I do not see in my own life.

During my childhood and teens, I would cry at the death of a pet. Or sometimes out of extreme anger, in situations where I had no control. I still feel some sadness when these things happen. Just not like I used to.

"Do you try not to cry?"

Sometimes. Other times, I just will.

"Do you see crying as weak?"

No, but I do see it as emitting vulnerability. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

"Have you ever been told you cry to much?"

No; I've been told I am cold by a few people. But I don't think I'm cold, just a bit removed.

"Too little?"

I haven't been told that before, no.

What makes you cry?

--usually pets dying or family movies.

During arguments I don't cry. I tend to shut down and as soon as the other person is gone or I can find a spot to myself, I'll have a long cry followed by an ugly anger and then it'll be a few days of me keeping to myself and feeling guilty about shutting down.

Do you try not to cry?

--yes.

Do you see crying as weak?

--I don't like doing it in front of other people.

Have you ever been told you cry to much?

--when I was younger and cried at the first sign of aggression.

Too little?

Eh.

You cry after arguing?

That's interesting. Is this smthg a lot of people do?

^ That question is not just for puddles. I'm curious bc it's not smthg I do. Observations or anecdotes from anybody are welcome.
