Try better head phones. They really can make a difference.

That is so fucking accurate :O

I'll look into the drug, thanks. Never thought it could be a psychosis. I had some haldol at home a while ago. Should have saved that. Is haloperidol like haldol?

I know I said you seemed scary and didn't want to talk to you and such, but, this was really kind of you. Thank you, I really found this helpful.

If it happens near sleep it's a parasomnia, not psychosis.

You can have all kinds of crap in that state. Alice in Wonderland syndrome can sometimes go with time distortion as well.

Anxiety, stress and sleep deprivation are huge triggers to worsening hypnagogic states. I think the best medicine is MORE sleep, better food and at least trying to kick back and relax.

Sometimes when I'm falling asleep and my eyes are close, I feel like one or more of my limbs are a funny size. I know it isn't, but maybe my arm will feel gigantic or a leg will nearly disappear. Other times, I hear a loud noise, a bang or a boom, right as I'm falling asleep.  I think these things are normal.

The bang is called Exploding head syndrome. It's a hypnagogic disorder. I grew up with it. The limb thing is also part of a hypnagogic state. When it happens totally awake it is called Alice in Wonderland syndrome (which can also distort how you experience the world). I had that stuff too.

They say it is "harmless", but it seems like most parasomnias hit crazy people harder. ;)
