What question?  About my mother imposing beauty standards?  I saw where the implication was going and decided to direct my attention to the heart of the matter, instead.  If you're still interested, yes she did.  But everyone does.  There are very few people out there who wouldn't impose some level of beauty standards on their children.  I doubt my upbringing was much different from anyone elses, in that way.

Speaking of beating around the bush, are you going to address what I said in my last post, or not? xD

I know you saw the implication, which is why I thought it funny when you asked the "is that relevant" and "why" questions :D Not every mother imposes beauty standards on their daughters hard enough to make the daughters turn spiteful towards them. My hunch was right, it's alright to admit it :D

I get why beauty standards seem hypocritical to you. And you bring in logic and stuff. But it's a matter of esthetics not logic. Not everything is logic. Sometimes being human involves accepting the irrationality of instinctual attractions and the mystery of beauty.

Not at all.  If this thread had been about Sins father, I would have reacted the same way, so I doubt I'm projecting.  As for the other thread, I'm discussing a double standard and the argument of "naturalism".  It's not even about hair to me.  And again, I never stated my own opinion of body hair.  You're assuming I have a problem with shaving.  I merely have a problem with hypocrisy and faulty logic. : P
