"In case you missed it, I announced 2 days ago that I'm too busy for these debates now."
You seemed rather interested in Crow continuing. That doesn't really seem like being "done" to me.
I bet you'll keep responding if this keeps going.
"I need to step away from the forums again for a month or so."
You do seem to be taking this surprisingly personally. So much "You don't know me", it's delightful. It's like it hurt you or something.
"However they have both killed. That makes them neutral."
So... Paladins are pacifists now?
"I'm not sure where the Arya Stark character is going, either."
Where the show's left off anyway her life path seems to have had her become fairly evil. Evil doesn't have to mean malevolent antagonist.
"She typed a bunch of stuff about serving the self vs. serving others being the difference between the evil alignments and the good alignments."
It's a bit more than that... but thanks for clearing that up~
"Whatever the case may be, I am not evil. Your argument is invalid :P"
If that makes you feel better, then by all means.
Ugh. rolls eyes
I have better self assessment tools than a D&D quiz and the opinions of a bunch of internet people who have never met me and rarely read my posts all the way through. In case you missed it, I announced 2 days ago that I'm too busy for these debates now. I need to step away from the forums again for a month or so. My final response on the matter will be this evening.
You wrote: "Daryl & Arya"
Both Daryl and Arya are chaotic (at least we agree on that much.) Both are known to serve others at least as often as they serve themselves, if not more. However, they have both killed. That makes them neutral. Daryl may have good tendencies. I'm not sure where the Arya Stark character is going, either. I haven't read the books yet.
"Your perspective on what constitutes C/E is super limited. It's like you didn't even read what she typed."
She typed a bunch of stuff about serving the self vs. serving others being the difference between the evil alignments and the good alignments.
^ That negates everything you claim to 'know' about me. You've never met me. You're not inside my head. You can't possibly know what I do and for whom I do it.
All you see are some very limited exchanges during the brief time (as a percentage of the whole of my existence) I've spent on this forum.
"Everything you read is about you, and those connected to you still strike me as being seen as a part of you."
Um... I'm pretty sure you're referring again to the time I've spent in discussion here, with you and others. Yeah. When I'm engaged in active discussion with people who keep referring to me in the second person it is kind of about me, dontcha think?
For at least half of the other 14000 and some odd days that I've been living on this planet and off the forums, I've been working for others. And at least a quarter of that work was to my detriment. Another quarter of that work came with no reward to me, whatsoever.
I repeat:
I believe I'm chaotic neutral. The test placed me as true neutral.
None of my RL friends have ever referred to me as evil or even excessively self-serving. Even my sister (the one wooster's mentioned in a few of her fuktarded rants about me) read the alignments and stated that she sees me as chaotic neutral.
Whatever the case may be, I am not evil. Your argument is invalid :P
"You wish you could hurt me, o mighty keyboard warrior."
Why wish when it's already happened so plainly?
"She let the Hound suffer when she could have put him down. Do you see that as evil?"
YES.
Despite how much kindness he in his own way showed her, she did it to let him suffer. If that's your idea of mercy you're more twisted than I gave credit.
She's obsessed with killing, with death, and while it has a retributive spin on it that's mostly what she sells herself to give it a motive she can justify. As more and more time passes, she grows to like it, hunger for it, obsess over it. Her path of bloodshed began as one of defense, but as time's gone on it's become her way of life.
She couldn't even fall into the role of assassin from being so selfish about her need to kill, her need for a sense of vengeance. There's many an evil character that follow similar paths. She's hardcore falling into the He Who Fights Monsters trope as time goes on, shedding her humanity one step at a time. Even Melisandra calls her dark.
I consider others' opinions all the time. When actual quantifiable proof exists for their arguments.
So far all I've heard are the opinions of people claiming to know my mind better than I do.
Last I checked, believing oneself to be an internet telepath is a whole lot closer to flat-earth thinking than stating that one knows her own mind better than others do.
