People don't know what they need.
Muting accomplishes just as much as blacklisting does, except faster. They make a new account and we're back in square one. The tools I have are very limited and they are more than aware of that, so what would you propose be done about it that hasn't been done already? Would you have it be against "Forum Rules" to be "Autistic"? Even if that's answered as a yes, do you see that accomplishing anything?
People have been leaving for a variety of reasons, be it either "the autists", doxxing, Nabble angst that had them assuming the place was shit before now, general boredom, real life context, etc, and in the past that didn't hurt the place as much since not only did the users have more resilience and a tendency to band together, but because if anyone left there was still the SW Blog being used as proper bait to bring in new blood.
I can try a more iron fist approach, but I assure you it's more likely to make things worse instead of better. Still, in the name of proving through example I could try being a bit more heavy-handed. We'll see how things turn out with the bar raised a bit for the sake of showing how little can truly be done.
As of this post's timestamp, I'm changing my behaviors until further notice.
Edit: Come to think of it, it might inspire them to try to blend in more eventually. Hm...

I think a good middle way would be to give thread creators mod powers so that they can prevent their own threads from derailing.
o The thread creator can hide single posts. Members don't see hidden posts by default but get the option to unhide single or all posts in a thread.

Forum's never been worse than now imo. It's being ruined by autistic spastic posting of mainly 2 people, Sinister creature and Eduhard. Even now, the chat I see is a "monologue" of Jim talking to Eduhard that goes like
Individual blacklist doesn't work, others keep replying and being dragged to their level. I know good posters who have given up on the forum because of the autists that have taken over, and this will continue to happen unless those who have the power to do something will finally take action. I am amazed how you people can put up with shit for so long. If the admins took it on themselves to mute the two retards on sight instead of giving them chance after chance, the forum would be a much better experience for non shit-posters.
by TryptamineTK was given moderation abilities by Luna for various reasons. TK had a laid-back stance, and even people who didn't like her generally agreed she was a good moderator. Moderation passed on to TC while I away for a while, and he's had a very laissez-faire attitude toward moderation. That was the stance people agreed he should take, when he asked how should he moderate. He's stuck to that laid-back attitude very clearly as it was laid out.
erm..no they didn't think she was good whether they liked or disliked her. tk was a laughing stock, she was constantly being manipulated into doing things (banning people, deleting posts) as a mod that she later had to undo or be overruled by luna. then she went on a power trip and basically told everyone here that she would only do her job as mod once everyone 'shut up and stop acting like children'. that was the beginning of her end i guess, and those threads highlighting her ineptitude have been deleted..by her. lol. TC has had no such issue as far as i can see.
