Either this is a rare form of meta-manipulation or your original post was an example of a certain kind of lie.
Actually I used none. All I did was tell the truth word-for-word. If I am wrong about anything I've said, please correct me.
The only time I manipulate in that post was when I said: "OK, which ones did I use? :)" as bait to see if I could draw people out to call me on manipulation tactics that weren't even employed.

Yeah. This, since ancient times. Everyone finds themselves at both ends of manipulation everyday, and dealing with it is just another part of surviving among other individuals.
It doesn't have to be.
I don't get why you make such a big deal out of it, or what pleasure you have by pointing fingers and shouting manipulator! left and right.
I fail to see how I "make such a big deal out of it". I admit the topic fascinates me, but I don't get emotional or offended when I see you all manipulating each other, I simply point it out.
In most cases the so called "manipulation attempts" aren't even fully conscious, so technically they aren't even manipulation.
At this point, I'd like you to refer to my very first post in this thread in which I included the definition of manipulation.

The whispers on this thread sound like gay men gossiping.
by TurncoatThey can only figure you out through how you present yourself. It's very easy for them to get wrong answers since they can only judge based on how things appear.
They should be trying to help you figure out who you are by serving the purpose of being a (biased) resource instead of finding the answers for you, as they are not psychic and the speculative science is still in the constant throes of debate. The disagreements between them betray how much is still left unknown or divided.
This is irrelevant. I wasn't talking about therapists or those that focus on an individual's problems, I meant those that study/observe human behavior in general.
"I meant those that study/observe human behavior in general."
The problems apply to them too. Think about those that conduct the experiments and all of the things that they have to worry about, those who work on the DSM, consultants, those who publish, across the board it's all related.
They have what they see and the bias that follows attempting to interpret it.

Following their advice blindly is a bad idea. It's ruined so many lives already.
