It's only caustic if you let it be. It can be entertaining if you choose to see it more like a reflection of it's writers, similar to appraising any other storyline.
Without creativity, life appears two dimensional.
I suppose, but I mean harboring on these sort of ideas breeds a similar mindset to those of radical conspiracy theorists. The "what if" game starts to be played mentally over and over again for some enough to make a rather unlikely scenario seem likely. Like reptilian shape shifters from different dimensions or other things of the like.
And if it's at that expense gaining some creativity just doesn't seem worth it. Makes more sense to work towards things that will yield an answer like curing cancer or making some convenient invention.
