Lmao, you weak-minded pansy restarted smoking after bragging that you quit?
I was referring to marijuana here you horse goggled dutch dip shit.
Smoking anything is still bad for the lungs you bird chested ignorant stinky american shitbag. And the Netherlands aren't in Scandinavia, asswipe.
I enjoy smoking too much to quit.
=
You're right Ed, I'm a weak-minded pansy
You registering your username = the universe making others fail?
Both the idea of karma and donating to charity is (dumb american for "are") beyond fucking stupid to me.
You took those things seriously? I was mocking you, buddy.
Oh, and ed, you should know better than anyone that sympathy can go a lonnng way.
Better than anyone? Why's that?
I can understand why you're still upset even after all this time, but you're not the only one here who has ate my shit and paid for it later.
Never eaten your shit since I know your type very well and recognized it right away. I've been hearing your stories for a long time, the invented cancer, the crappy childhood, the dead mother, the drugs, the second "job" you have ;) (lmao!), and I've just been laughing at you all this time. And since you brought it up, how about you explain how I paid for any of the shit you've said here?

However, since you follow and believe in my every word and decision I make I'll clue you in on something. I never quit smoking. Not a single day. I guess I maybe cut down some here and there, but to be honest I enjoy smoking too much to quit.
Me making it impossible for you to grab my name is just the universe making you fail at yet another thing, bud. It's almost cruel, I swear.
You registering your username = the universe making others fail? My fucking god the narc mind really is a beautiful thing lmao.
So, are you going to donate some of that big fighter money your making?
No, I think I'll donate some to this charity for people with lung cancer, man. You should too, maybe karma will stop kicking you around for pretending to have lung cancer to get some sympathy around here.
Both the idea of karma and donating to charity is beyond fucking stupid to me. Do I really need to explain to anyone here why that is? You go right ahead though sir nobleman.
Oh, and ed, you should know better than anyone that sympathy can go a lonnng way. I can understand why you're still upset even after all this time, but you're not the only one here who has ate my shit and paid for it later. Hopefully you can find some comfort in that if nothing else.
by retI recently talked to some members about the state of the forum and the quality of the content. The consensus was that while the freedom of this forum is appealing it also suffocates meaningful discussions through spam and keeps people from putting effort into threads and posts.
We had a lot of debate about the question of moderation in the past and the main argument against moderation was that the forum shouldn't turn into a heavily moderated place like the other mental health forums. Also nobody liked the idea of someone having too much power.
I think a good middle way would be to give thread creators mod powers so that they can prevent their own threads from derailing.
Possible Mod powers:
o The thread creator can hide single posts. Members don't see hidden posts by default but get the option to unhide single or all posts in a thread.
o It can be chosen between a blacklist, whilelist or no list at all. Which approach is used can be still changed after thread creation.
Blacklist: Everyone can post except members on the blacklist.
Since it's very easy to create new accounts one would also need the feature to blacklist all accounts that got created after a certain point in time.
Whitelist: Nobody can post except people on the whitelist.
The whitelist is interesting because it would enable members to create blog-like threads where they could only post for themselves or a few select others. That might compensate for the lack of profile functions.
Concerns:
o Certain Members might get blacklisted in most threads.
I guess if that happens it happens for a good reason.
o Thread creators will misuse their power.
That will happen but in general I think people are more interested in input than keeping people from answering their threads.
If there are some members who like to mess around on a regular basis won't affect the rest of the forum.
Advantages:
o No centralized mod power. No rule set for the whole forum.
o The possibility to keep threads from becoming off-topic will encourage people to invest more time and effort.
o There's still place for the usual drama and unmoderated talk.
o Every account is equal.
Any thoughts on this idea?
Some of the best ideas i've heard so far. I don't see being rid of the steady flow of shitty threads and spam which is the single worst problem that plagues here, but at least the ones that do have content will be able to be managed more efficiently. With some tweaking I could see some of this being working out.
Good shit, Ret.
by Luna Preyedvard, if you donate to 2.0, you will be helping to cure lung cancer indirectly!
after the forum is complete, our software is launched and goes viral, we get rich, build a space elevator, and then when our moon base is complete, we will be able to do all sorts of experiments regardless of morals to make sure lung cancer, and all human ailments are cured. my moon base wont regulate scientists, and tell them what they can and cannot do, like stupid earth governments.
Cute try :D But what makes you think Id approve of scientists carrying out immoral experiments on people? I'd hate to end up being an unwilling subject in some fucked up experiment.

Not bad ideas. I like that all accounts are still equal. It would be frustrating though to want to reply in one thread and not be on the "whitelist", but you can always make your own thread as a reply. Big changes to the dynamics around, but maybe worth testing. We'd still need a spam deletor though, in case some shithead spams with threads.
