"Whoever said, an eye for an eye makes the world go blind was wrong. Everyone has two eyes, if each person were to take turns removing one eye from each other, one person would be left with one eye."

(I forget who said it, but yeah experience shows, that's how it always plays out...)

Think divorces...

No... she was clearly one step from being kicked out the door...

I wouldn't be surprised if he had mentioned divorce, and was ready to go through with it in the morning, and she snapped or something and tried to lie before her inevitable suicide.

What's it take to push someone far enough to pull the trigger? I mean he must have gone off...

I am only guessing... I certainly do not know for sure... I am sure the drugs didn't help, and that's what happens I guess when your head clears, and you are sober, right?

"What matters is the here and now."
What is "here and now" is shaped by the past, and it compels you towards future actions. To understand your past is to understand your present and future with more clarity. What constitutes your "Nurture" is your past.

"If I sound detached from it all it's because I am. Thinking about the past doesn't affect me emotionally and why would it."
It could be why things are the way they are now, it could be why the "appetite" is even an issue. It's the pursuit of understanding yourself instead of potentially being ignorant of yourself.

"It's ancient history."

How often do you allow your thoughts to drift into the past? It makes sense that you'd not know if you don't think about it too often.

I don't see any reason to think about my past often. The past is the past. It's irrelevant. What matters is the here and now.

Have any pictures from then that might jog memories?

I remember a lot of things that happened in the past.

"No need to spare anything. There is no heartache. I've discussed my past numerous times on this forum."
Not really in depth, mostly conceptually. You listed some cases of who/what/where, but the specifics in many of them had you sounding detached from the events.

Who here has ever gone indepth about their past? No-one as far as I can tell. I've probably shared more than most.

If I sound detached from it all it's because I am. Thinking about the past doesn't affect me emotionally and why would it. It's ancient history.
