Good way to keep those pesky empaths out. Again. I have never had an honest conversation on here anyway.

i like threads like these. i do read them

i will take the effort required to put up a "terms of service" page if you guys are willing to write the content for it.

it must be worded in such a way that this website is completely irresponsible for the postings of it's users, and is only a platform made to communicate and share ideas. we WILL respect DMCA's if we find they have a justified legal basis. and then can put in about no spamming, etc.

if you guys can produce a TOS that is agreeable, i don't really mind putting it up. from that point on, posting of public info, and. really anything-- goes, unless legally required to take it down, or it's spam.

also, orphelia,

According to Luna's "vision", we're supposed to be a supportive community

im not sure what vision you're reading, but i don't care at all about "support" and have never once said anything like that. thats completely unlike me. you dont know me at all. your new here i think

Puppet hunter it is, then.

Whoever you are, your knowledge seems sound.

That she allowed this site to remain operational for this long without a legal disclaimer to avoid personal liability is a testament to her naivete, poor leadership skills, and lack of business savvy.

Aw, give the girl a break. I admire her drive. She probably had a momentary lapse of reason due to a cloud of smoke.

Or maybe she's being ironic? It's the new Ophelia?

I'm way new, and even I can almost see the flowing blonde hair behind that faceless avi. Not too many people with your knowledge and credentials would bother to come to this trollpit, so it's relatively easy to deduce the rest.

Or maybe I'm just a paranoid puppet hunter. lol

That is what I meant by "I told you so". As someone with experience running an organization, I know that "dealing with things as they come" gets far too messy, way too fast. :P

I gave her plenty of "breaks." In fact, on the old forum, I was the only one who ever stood up for her, when the rest were eating her alive. And I don't have blonde hair. I'm not M.E., or whoever you think I am... Just an old regular.

The difference is that, if not for a "no rules" approach, "dealing with things as they come" is the best way to avoid additional rules. Attempting to pre-empt what could harm the place both informs people how to and makes for rules that might not be needed in the first place.

With a "no rules" approach however, one that's purely about avoiding liability, it can be much nicer. Prior to this topic I thought this place wouldn't go that direction, instead spiraling downward as more and more rules were forced onto the place. ToS when "no rules" isn't the case would have risked pushing in that direction.

Also, this website isn't a business, it's not about efficiency, it's about principles.
