you okay thrill?

You're a troll and I'm done with your bullshit.
Seriously? You're lying down already? It's no wonder people have been beating the shit out of you your entire life. It looks to me that life itself has beaten the shit out of you and has left you for dead, but has deemed you unworthy of the final kill strike.
"Taekwondo and Karate aren't compatible forms of training; even the most limber and agile of athletes find it difficult to adjust to the different stances required of each art."
As long as you pick one of the two as a more primary discipline, you can add elements of one to the other. With how many different forms of karate there are, that's a bit of a reach to say it couldn't work together. You just need to take the time to sort out what you want to use once you've learned what you need.
"And I happen to know plenty of fat people who've trained in MA. Without exception, they all suck. They're too slow."
It is possible for those with mass to still be quick. Ever hear of Sammo Hung?
Going to the ground on the street, Legga is nothing short of moronic, unless you like taking a boot to the face from your dance partners friends. I can only talk from personal experience and from my experience most street fights, more often than not, are never 1v1. So this rules out Bjj.
Even if it's 1v1, a chunk out of the ear, nose or calf, whilst waiting for an arm bar or triangle will render this martial art, on the street, completely useless to the inexperienced practitioner... or even the experienced for that matter.
by TurncoatMartial arts classes can still teach some useful lessons, but it's mostly art or sport by itself. Still helpful, but yeah, not enough by itself.
Agreed. Take the Muay Thai roundhouse kick for instance. You miss and because you're conditioned to spin around and turn your back, for that split second, you're in a head lock with thumbs in your eyes.
I ditched Muay Thai and trained Muay Boran but it wasn't spontaneous enough. Just conditioned patterns which could potentially kill you.
I know around six people working in security who would disagree with you. If anyone does decide to take you down you'll be helpless to defend. The rules of street fighting changed shortly after boxing became less popular than MMA among the younger people.
I guess I shouldn't join the debate though, since most people are just going on about how they'd do this and that to counter this instead of settling it once and for all. This doesn't even always take place only on the internet. Some dudes were arguing about BJJ and thaiboxing vs taekwondo (not surprisingly the guy arguing for BJJ and thaiboxing did BJJ and thaiboxing himself and the guy arguing for taekwondo did taekwondo..) at the gym. They could have gone and tested who would win but they didn't. Everyone just wants to convince themselves their own martial art is the best but nobody is prepared to pay for it.
