The brother of my very first friend in college gave it to me, with a card that read; "So I can always hear where you are." and at the time it was a joke because apparently she nor he could ever hear me coming into the rooms when I was invited over. At the time I just took it as a joke (she'd call me cat or kitty), I'm hoping that's all it was? haha
