Of course I've seen mold, it's both scary and fascinating, but I'm having trouble finding the mold that'd cause what you were describing. Lead poisoning was at least an easy answer with a likelihood that isn't as rare as we'd like to believe.
Maybe the mold helped transport lead in more focused amounts? Were there any others complaining about the same problem and did they exhibit similar symptoms?
Edit: Huh, not sure why this answer took this long for me to find, even with my prior understanding of it being mostly related to the risks from breathing it in. Does this seem fitting?
Edit2: Wow, I like this website. I had no idea Black Mold (kinda) was being used as a literal weapon, a non-subtle one at that.
Sometimes I hear my name in a crowded place (and sometimes it's someone calling to another person with my name). Sometimes when I'm alone and it's quiet, I think I hear a distant t.v. or radio, but it's just the grey noise outside. Seldom at night when I fall asleep, a loud bang or beep disturbs me. I often see shadows in the corners of my vision and mistake it for my dog or a roommate, other times I see objects at the wrong angle and mistake them for people. There is a broken telephone pole around the corner from a turn I take to leave my town. For the first few years I drove that way myself, I mistook it for a dog about half the time.
A few weeks ago I was hearing voices...it was shouting in my head. It was extremely annoying and made my ears hurt. (I'm sensitive to some sounds and some can make my ears hurt) so it was like I was actually hearing it but it wasn't real...
A few days later while drinking some water I found some mold in my cup from the water thing in my friend...the tube I guess you would call it. I drink a ton of water every day but a lot of the time I put flavorings so it's hard to see things floating around and the cups I used weren't clear (now they are). My landlord replaced it and I bleach it every few days now but I don't drink from it anymore. Haven't heard anything since.
