Have you tried but then quit? Why?

Never tried it? Why?

i have not, because i dont need it. sounds like something that could be fun, if it didn't have some kind of record to leave behind.

Years ago, I got an appointment with a psychiatrist at my university in a bid to get some pharmaceuticals. I was offered free psychiatric consultation. I accepted the offer, and had about three appointments with a psychologist.

It was a negative experience, overall. The majority of the time there was spent talking about how I felt about things. I guess I went in the hope that the psychologist would be an interesting person to talk to...but she was just annoying.

Yeah the school system and my parents got me in as a child. I was always a little nervous, and I felt persecuted by authority for it. And I tended to lie alot

leaving traces is just not good practice in anything, better stay anonymous, then you have more freedom

No, there's no reason. The only people that know of my tendencies trust me more than they'd trust their parents already anyways, and as for the rest? I couldn't tell them, they'd be hurt, and would probably disown me or something. That's just cause for more stress than it's worth. Not to mention the check on our freedom that psychiatric tests have.

Just not worth the trouble.

"The majority of the time there was spent talking about how I felt about things."

It's sort of their job to poke and prod at details of your life alongside how you tell it to form theories about you. Did you expect the therapy to not be about you or something?

On Topic: As I've explained in the past, my time with therapy was free, gave me extra credit in a course, and was done at the college I went to. It began fairly casually, but as she became more confused it went in some other directions.
