I personally do not care as I have no intention of supporting anyone ever again.
Is that experience what made you so jaded?
I think the vulturistic actions of family and friends when some people die is fascinating. Its like watching a visceral free-for-all as they grab , snatch and take whatever they think theyre entitled to.
Its like their very lives and sanity depends on what and how much they can get , as if having that stuff will magically endow them with happy unicorn memories of the deceased , and protect them from the same fate.
Ive been to 3 or four wakes, and just sat there eating the food and watching amused as the family cliques gathered together and were immediately discussing the disbursement of the deads worldly possessions in urgent whispered tones.
They missed out on the best food .....
Sorry guys, but I'd fight until the bitter end. I expect my friends to do the same.
Those I loathe, don't fight at all, I know two people like that, they could both stop being so sick but they gave up. One is lying in his bed all day long claiming he is happy, the other refuses simple treatment because she is "above" treatment, and happy. Screw that. Lazy people.
I think common sense should prevail in cases of really terminal illness. When the death is inevitable, being kept alive artificially is no less artificial than "assisted suicide" compared to natural death.
Nowadays' medical science can pretty much predict where a 'miraculous recovery' is 100% out of the question.
(I'm talking about grown/old people of course, with kids recovery (or the lack thereof) is nowhere near as predictable)
