I always carry a melee weapon! Because i trust my fellow citizens :)

I'd use a ranged one for more serious business :)

Otherwise, both melee or ranged can work, depends on the flavor at the time.

Knife held with a hammer grip, striking first with the open palm to the face, then stabbing any unprotected area of the torso. All you need is 21 feet. Anything farther? Handgun.

I hope 300 yard isn't your idea of sniping distance. A point target for a standard issue M16A4 without optics is 550 meters.

Logic is not his strong suit...

1. Close quarters combat............E.g, Clearing a small room 

2. Ranged..........E.g, A auditoorium 

3. Sniper............E.g, 300 yards or greater
