His avatar has always looked completely male to me. The shading on the lips and around the eyes slightly resembles makeup, but the hair, jawline, and neckline of the shirt are overwhelmingly male, so I couldn't imagine him female.

by Questioning_LifeGiven so many around here have thought I was male and I am actually a female, it made me curious. What is it that makes someone think i'm male?
While we're at it, do you make an assumption that someone on the forum is male or female before you actually know? What helps you make that determination? The way people type, supposed inflection, user name, avatar, etc..?
The first time we talked, a year ago, I thought you were a guy. lol You know that though. I think it's because you're aggressive and don't take much shit. Plus you like to play with the guys and give as good as you get. Or it could just be that people don't pay attention.
I do recall now that you mention it you thought I was male. I think you were a bit surprised when you found out I was not LOL. Perhaps it's the aggression and unwillingness to take shit from anyone, I don't know about that. It is true I "play" with the boys. I always have and always will. I get along better with men and that's when and if I do get along with someone.
by TurncoatYeah I'm male. Common misconception online for some reason, one I find especially strange because of, again, the "there are no women on the internet" superstition.
TC I originally thought you were female based on your avatar. One of the reasons I have thrown the correlation of avatar to sex of a person out is b/c of users on PF and SC.
Men with that hair are few and far between. Most men don't take the time to edit pictures of themselves either.
Even so I was still skeptical and made this thread.

His voice has a feminine tint to it as well.

I've rarely seen QL get aggressive and the few times she has been, I didn't think that attitude suited her personality. That's why I've never thought of her as a male.
I remember her on PF and I don't recall ever confusing her for a male. She's always seemed feminine to me.

Fair point! I try not to allow the rage to show as much on forums and control it a bit more. In Skype, getting to know me one on one, you do see it, the aggressiveness etc... I'm a complicated one

I thought you were a guy because of the time you were talking about kicking Virus's ass. At least I thought that was you.

You have me confused with someone. Definitely was not me.
