Whoa! That would blow my mind too... cause at that point I would have to consider the possibility of me having DID. Wouldn't that just blow all our minds?
Well we are defininately a community, though I believe family might be too strong a word. Unless you're dealing with a large extended family that enjoys constant sniping and manipulation with more then a little dysfunction. But there are definitely those on this forum I like and respect, and those that amuse me.
So what do you guys think? Do you feel attached to the personalities you
meet here? Do you enjoy "knowing" people here, and the sense of
belonging and ability to freely express yourself without judgement?
I find the community's greatest triumph is when an act of kindness is shared. To bring light out from the darkness can be emotional for some. Even those who don't understand love and forgiveness can reap the rewards of agressions turned to peace. It sometimes happens, and it's expected to happen again. In advance Luna, it would do all societies good, if people can be as accepting as some of us here. Sometimes not giving a damn is a forum of acceptance, or rather progression without wastefully stopping to analyse unimportant detail.
They don't have it in them to express what the community has become to them. I like to think of it as a village, but I can see why you'd think we like Family. Family's always stick around for more abuse, and that is the main course here. You'd grow attached to this, cause you invest a lot into this place, If you ask me, I'm sure a whole heap of others besides myself has you covered, even though sooner or later, we'll turn a debate into a fist fight.

So I have been considering life, and all that, and I often feel like such a weirdo because I don't have that many friends, but I must say that I feel a sense of belonging with this community. Being able to post my feelings and express myself has enabled me to show my true self to you guys, and even though I can't relate your personalities to real names, they exist none-the-less, and I feel as if having an understanding of you guys. We are creating history with eachother, culture, memmories. I'd argue it might even be viewed as bonding, and that we are becoming a small little family.
So what do you guys think? Do you feel attached to the personalities you meet here? Do you enjoy "knowing" people here, and the sense of belonging and ability to freely express yourself without judgement?
Thanks!
Luna
P.S. Don't make fun of my lack of friends!! I have experimented with having lots of friends in real life, and it's not worth the effort!! With online friends, though, it seems to be different. Less aggressive, more freedom, privacy, and liberty from fear of being judged. :)
