Your in your current situation because of your choices.

Yes, I chose to be in this situation so I wouldn't have to work. I own almost everything I have outright (I'm only paying off one thing at the the moment) and I have no other debts.  I may not get as much money as someone who is slaving away at McDonalds 5 days a week, but I don't care. I'd rather get less money than be stuck in some boring ass job I hate doing.

You think you and Daddy are better than me simply because you live by some code and prefer a different lifestyle?

Don't make me laugh. Do you think society would be affected if either of you died. It won't make a shred difference to anyone except your own friends and family. Like I said to Daddy, you're just ants on an ant hill. There are a million other people who could replace your role in society. So, get your head out of the clouds and stop thinking you're something more special and important than you actually are.

Everyone has these opportunities,  it's just that you succumb to your temptations before you can reach your goals. Narcissistic people don't have that problem. Its not possible when your only temptation is success.

Success is subjective. I've managed to avoid work for the last 18 years (aside from raising and educating my daughter, which is work in itself). In my eyes, I'm a success because I've achieved exactly what I wanted to achieve. You may not agree with my choices, but it doesn't matter because those choices are mine, not yours.

I'm not denying that I do succumb to a lot of my temptations, but who cares. So far, it's been working out for me.

No.

You are only in disagreement because you can't change the situation around you. Your telling me that your life goal was to be a welfare rat? No. You succumbed to your temptations and slowly burned down all of your bridges until government aid was your only option. I would think even McDonalds would have a hard time hiring you with that sketchy record of yours.

You didn't succeed, you fell short of your goals and just became content with your surroundings.

I never had any goals to begin with, aside from not wanting to work.

"When I look at my car, my job, all of material possessions I see their existance as direct result of my actions. I envisioned all of this and then achieved it through my will. There hasn't been anything I couldn't achieve if I wanted it enough."

You are not your job.
You’re not how much money you have in the bank.
You're not the car you drive.
You’re not the contents of your wallet.
You're not your fucking khakis.
You're all singing, all dancing crap of the world.

You're forgetting, Daddy, that you're just another ant on the ant hill. You're no better than me or anyone else here.

Au contraire mon petit cochon delirant...

Not all people are equal. Some do great things and other are worthless scum that are beneath contempt.

It's quite possible I think I'm better than you. But that's just my point of view. And it's the only one that matters.

Well, importance has its own type of theory of relativity.  Now, cultural mutations exist where species and genetics once had a hand in it.  Epigenetics?  Should we have some post-apocalyptic scenario, quickly we may find the standard model human becomes obsolete.

Well I think people are confusing being important, being powerful & being high functioning.

You can be low-functioning and be important & powerful as the primary caretaker to your child for instance.

You can be important but not powerful as Steve Jobs discovered when he was demoted to being the chairman of Apple with no executive power left. As the founder he was still important but his power had been taken away from him and not surprisingly he quit.

You can be a mid-ranking official/executive in a company and be powerful because you're a part of a hierarchy that is powerful but you're not that important because you can be replaced.

You can be very powerful and important as the CEO of a company but if you fail the board and the investors you will get replaced assuming our hypothetical company is healthy.

You're only as important and/or powerful as your entourage (in a broad sense of the term) and your connections are.
