Thoughts so far on the Mute feature?

It takes more work to build another puppet than to blacklist a user. Without it saying that blacklisting has happened, someone may try to chat with someone who's effectively deaf to it and not figure why they're not responding.

It informing the person takes the mystery out of it.

I agree with ana, and the harassment thing. There are a lot of babies on the forum.

I just don't see the need for informing. Plenty of users already ignore others for their own reasons without something official like that.

It's more convenient to have it than to not. If it starts any "drama", I doubt it'd be any worse than how things are now. It's not like people throwing hissy fits really does any real damage here.

you will all complain about something eventually so it should exist because they would complain if it didn't or did

Can you give me an example of another forum where muted users are told who has them muted? I've never seen such a feature so I'm curious.

It's amusing how much the mute feature bothers you.

Luna do you still think it was a good idea to implement such a tool?
