Is Sherlock from the BBC series a convincing sociopath?

"If you're callous and uncaring, people are less inclined to victimize you. House knows this all too well."

In your case, thrill, on the internet atleast, the opposite is true.

I haven't been victimized by anyone since I was a kid, so I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

You've just projected the reason why you carry on with this 'cold blooded killer' personna tk.

Why do you call it a 'persona'?

I've had violent thoughts from a very young age, so it's natural that those those thoughts would become urges later in life, especially after having grown up around violence.

I've told you before and I eluded to it just now. I think its a defence mechanism, thrill. I may be wrong, Ofc but I just say what I see from my point of view.

You think I'm just wearing a persona as a defense mechanism?

What am I supposed to be defending myself against, according to you? The abuse I went through as a kid?

What happened in the past is ancient history as far as I'm concerned.

Isn't it more likely that I have a desire to commit murder (not as a persona, but for real) because I grew up in a violent environment?

Yeah ok, thrill, whatever. Don't take it personally, it's the internet.

You've said specifically, multiple times, that you never learned how to love or bond because of the environment you grew up in, and now you say that your desire to commit violence also likely comes from the environment you grew up in. Ignoring the connotations of the word "defense," I'd call that an "adaptation mechanism," but some people would call it "defense" because they want to see some sort of hurt little child in you who is just protecting her feelings or something.

I'm sure that you probably do fantasize about killing people, but it borders on obsessive and makes your personality come across as flat and boring when you constantly revert to it. The reason it comes across as a 'persona' is because most of your talk about murder is a monologue. You're not discussing your interests with people who share them, you're just...talking about yourself for no real reason. That makes it seem more like a performance than genuine social interaction.

I'm sure you have places online where you get really into the murdertalk with like minded individuals, I'm just saying that from what I've personally seen, it comes across as "I am ___ trait" which makes it seem like the display of a persona. And really, that doesn't mean it's not true, it just means you're focusing intently on one aspect of your personality.
