Are you describing me, Sassy Turncoat?
LOL
Or are you trying to cook up the perfect "man" for me?
by DeborahA lot has been said about promiscuity and the impulsive nature of people, but I have a question?
For men, if a woman told you "Fine go out and have sex with anyone you want." If you are a man that likes "Forbidden Fruit" and doing something because it is wrong, does this take away the impetus to sleep around, or only make it acceptable?
I am sure some people do it because cheating is taboo.
Over all I take pride in being a good companion. I'll take her offer, but that wouldn't mean I'll try to screw around. It can still happen, but that always comes with a price.
I once told my ex, if she has an opportunity to sleep with some hot shot like Vin Diesel or some kind of irresistible idol, then she has my blessings. I'm against fits of rage to a point where I suppress and kill my own ego in exchange for a more cool state of being. Shit happens, better to stay smart, ready and unbreakable.
Promiscuity does more damage than good, and it's not just potential negative emotion. If people stopped doing that, the world would be quarantined of STD's.
Proverbs 5:3-23
For the lips of a loose woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil, but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death, her steps follow the path to Sheol. She does not keep straight to the path of life, her ways wander, and she does not know it. And now, my child, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth. Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house, or you will give your honor to others, and your years to the merciless, and strangers will take their fill of your wealth, and your labors will go to the house of an alien, and at the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are consumed, and you say, “Oh, how I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof! I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors. Now I am at the point of utter ruin in the public assembly.â€
Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets? Let them be for yourself alone, and not for sharing with strangers. Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. May her breasts satisfy you at all times, may you be intoxicated always by her love. Why should you be intoxicated, my son, by another woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress?
For human ways are under the eyes of the Lord, and he examines all their paths. The iniquities of the wicked ensnare them, and they are caught in the toils of their sin. They die for lack of discipline, and because of their great folly they are lost.

As long as you don't turn into a doormat in the process. It's healthy to have some ego, otherwise life becomes hapless. Being "cool" can eventually just become bottling if it's not truly apathetic. It's what makes some people snap.
I've done doormat before. That would be my doing, it's in my nature to be this way, but only if thing are in order.
Snap ? I don't intend to snap over stuff like this. That is ego stuff. The one I want/wanted has me here. I learned how to just let things go. Not interested in winning or revenge, or playing games that have me in the dark. Those who concern themselves with such matters, are prone to snapping. Staying cool matters to me, it also means staying focused and making the right choices. Acting on impulse makes matters worse.
