by iammaskAccording to that link, I would have to say I am sociopathic. Especially with:
'Tendency to appear superficially normal in social relationships, often social predators.'
I can relate to that as well, but I have poor behavioral controls and can't maintain the mask over a long period of time.
by Thrill KillHere is another interesting link: http://blogs.psychcentral.com/forensic-focus/2010/07/sociopathy-vs-psychopathy/
It is interesting that this blog contradicts the previous one in regards to behaviors. In the end, I suppose, there are many points of view.
Also, these terms are no longer in use amongst specialists.
As I see it, psychopath and sociopath can be used as synonyms because they both refer to the same disorder and the symptoms are more or less the same. However, I do find it enjoyable that this spectrum disorder is being divided this way into two rather different categories based on social adaptation, behaviour with siblings and some other distinguishable traits.
by Death To SWChaos is beautiful
It depends if you are inside or outside the chaos, imposing on others or having things imposed on you.
When Cosby spoke at a graduation, on the theme of wisdom of older people trumping anything learned in school,
he cited what his grandmother said about whether a glass was half-empty or half-full.
She said it depends if you are the one pouring, or receiving the glass of water!
