I found this definition of extrovert interesting:

Verb

'to direct(the mind, one's interests, etc.) outward or to things outside of the self'.

My question for the forum is:

Is sociopathy/psycopathy just extreme forms of being a extrovert? Can our minds be SO directed towards the outside that everything within(guilt, emotions, etc) are ignored?

Psychopathy is a self indulgent personality.  It's not so much about that which lies outside the psychopath as how the psychopath envisions herself being visioned from the outside.  It's all about perception, until one desire becomes so strong the psychopath doesn't care about the world outside any longer and simpley must acquire what it wants... It needs.  I imagine there are more extroverted and some who are more introverted on the axis of psychopathy.

Dear iammask thanks for another good question.

The way extrovert is used it means something different.

Sociopathic ppl can be introverted or extroberted as a sepatate personality trait measured and defined as something else.

What i find ppl do rwgatdless of being sociopathic or neurotypical

Is wectake unforgiven issues carried from the past, and project them externally.

This is independent of being SP antisocial etc. All ppl do this.

It depends how forgiving you are. How much you can let go like a buddhist monk with open compassion for all life to overcome biases.

That forgiveness factor may have more to do with external projection than the extrovert introvert factor.

These are all sepatate from whay makes someone sociopathic.

I answer your question this way: Our (at least my) mind is directed to our (my) benefits. For me it doesn't matter what the others think about me, but I also like to show them when I've done something great.

Guilt, emotions, etc could also be "outside". Most of extrovert people like and love really the others, and feel also sad (I've seen this in school and with other people).

And there're people, who ignore their feelings, but I have nothing to ignore, because there's nothing I could feel.

Maybe our life is more extrovert some of the time. I for example have not a "make-the-world-better-dream", which many people have. I life only for my wellbeing, and this depends on how I handle with others.

I would have thought the opposite, the focus and desire is inward leaning. no value is given to the outside, aside from what is desired on the inside. extroverts share, do psychopaths and sociopaths share anything with anyone? i could totally be wrong, but this was the perception i got...

I share not, I get from others. I get their attention, I can play with them like I want. So sometimes I have the need to interact, for "feeling" how great I am.

Because my aims are changing and until now not really my "inside" has have a big wish.

exactly! that's what i was thinking. i would think that psycho and sociopaths would be more intoverted rather than extroverted, but that's just a guess.

No, because sociopaths and psychopaths can be either introverts or extroverts. Emotions are felt, but not very often or for very long.

For the psychopath, who was born that way, guilt is non-existent. For the sociopath, who was made that way, guilt would be very rare.
