expressing emotion when you dont feel it.

It starts with 'mirroring". That's when our movement and gestures match the other person.

We do this as children.

Observe, see what they are doing with their bodies and copy. Just be careful not to make it to obvious.

This will create rapport.

Verbally, actively listen to key words that people use constantly and use them too.

More later.....

Everyone does this for rapport and good communication. There is a difference between how PDs do it and non- PDs.

Once you pick up on the details of how people act, it's all about mimicking. Just like a good actor, you really get into the character. Once the 'scene' is over you move on. A sociopath needs to be able to change characters based on who they are dealing with.

It becomes obvious who is "faking" it and who isn't, once the honeymoon period is over. Now if you love someone after the honeymoon when you see them as they really are, That is true love. (or friendship or whatever.)

Yes, which is why relationships tend not to last very long. On the other hand, some people want to believe the lie so bad that they will stay even though they suspect your a 'fake'.

True. But sometimes we learn to love the "real" person. Then  they flip out on us.

Yes, that is always the risk. But risk is what makes life interesting.

This is the truth and the power and danger of the SP. The victim falls so hard for the fantasy they just can't let it go even when they KNOW it's a lie.

Yes, and these are the ones you keep for as long as possible.
