I wanted to be the hero in my life story. But I found that I had become the villain in the eyes of some.

As for CEO's and Corporations, I agree a lot of them are hurting the environment. However, at the same time, they may be created products that benefit people.

Look at plastic. Look at gasoline(Petro). We all use it, need it, and want it. But it hurts the environment.

So who really is the villain? The people who DEMANDS the product or the ones who PROVIDE it?

But the one who breaks the rules is sometimes seen as a hero.

Robin Hood is a old example.  In the end he is stealing, but because he 'takes from the rich and gives to the poor' he is a hero.

Yeah, that's true, but the difference between someone like me and Robin Hood is, I don't care who I hurt to get what I want.

However if what you want is the same as a particular group you could still be considered a hero. At least to them.

Of course the opposing group will see you as the villain....... such is life.

What if you define the hero as one who acts for the universal good of all people from all sides.

So this person has to be a hero from all ppl's views in order to be a hero?

In that case, I'd rather be a hero than a villain.

Because when you are a hero for all people, then all people want to work with you to succeed.

But when you are a villain, it divides by conflicting interests. Your energy and support will be divided.

I'd rather have unified goals and unified support to achieve them.

Also the heros often act for their own reasons, like in some movies, often for revenge, blablabla....
But mostly their reasons seem more good for the viewers (in movies).

I'm sure that I choose the villain. I dont care about the rights of the others. It would be a great game.

Acting for justice, ie restorative justice with mercy and peace

is different from

acting out of revenge or retribution

One is sustainable and restores good faith relations

The other can be self-destructive by divide and conquer for selfish reasons, not for the good of the whole

I know it's different. I meant some movies where the protagonist maybe has lost his familiy by a killer and now tries to get retribution.

For me, I never have the desire for revenge, because the others are most of the time unimportant. They could kill my familiy, my girlfriends... No sadness and no happyness.

That is very detached. You remind me of a Buddhist monk!
