Dear Clownpenis:
If it makes you feel better, you may take my avatar, download it and set it on fire in paint or photoshop.
And use it as your avatar whenever you get in this pet-burning rage.
If that isn't enough, you can take my other avatar for TARA, the Buddha Pear, and set that on fire. So it looks like a monk self-immolating. As I said, even Buddhist monks lose it, too.
What Buddha said about anger, it was one of three causes of suffering in the world. And each had its own remedy:
IGNORANCE --> WISDOM
ANGER --> COMPASSION
GREED --> GENEROSITY
When you get angry, find something you have compassion for, even for yourself, and embrace that.
Let the anger rage through, burning away whatever thoughts or emotions are associated with that, and be freed from the past.
There is nothing wrong with a natural wildfire, which serves to burn away brush so new trees can replenish the forest. Just don't let it get out of control where it destroys the good things you actually wanted to preserve.
I take back my previous comment. I don't like letting go of my anger and so I was pretty reluctant to go and beat the crap out of the boxing bag at my gym. My initial plan after making a phone call was to first go and hit the bag and if that didn't help I'd do the normal thing and get drunk. And more drunk. I guess the gym actually did help because while I'm still pissed off I don't feel like getting drunk. (Thanks for convincing me to do that Inquirer) I'm also pretty lucky because I study at a uni and work part-time with a flexible schedule -- meaning I don't have anything too immediate that I have to do.
I understand that people deal with anger differently. And that anger comes in different levels.
Ps. I'll probably reply to the posts I haven't posted a reply to tomorrow.
Fucking hell. You rarely say ANYTHING here without backtracking, correcting or apologizing for it. You're so bloody indecisive, and don't seem to get anything right the first time. Be a man and stick with what you say from time to time, ffs. I find people like you in real life almost unbearable...
