Thats a great question, I'm sure there were several reasons. when it happened he was sitting alone at our families house drinking, his wife had left him i believe, he'd had issues with the law, when he killed himself he was alone mostly because my family had come to see me at my graduation from ait... somepeople thought he did bad things and had a guilty conscience... but i dont know what the man was thinking, i'm sure between the cocktail of being alone, the depressant properties of liqor, past troubles, and his wife leaving him had a greatly overwhelming effect on him.

sometimes people get tired and just dont want to play the game anymore...

I try to stay away from intimate chat about these things in this particular place, because it overwhelms, and just recently I decided that maybe it would be a good idea for me to be a bit more selective with who I email from sw. If you are able to share in this thread about your own personal experiences, I would love to hear them.

Was going to put up another installment to this, but no longer feel motivated atm. Think I will work on the sw manuscript instead.

Personal experience subjects that run a little deeper than the average bitch fest.

No, this was the other brother. And at the time I did feel responceble, my family and everyone who could have supported him was gone, including his wife and kids... so yes, my family coming to see me on my day of celebration certainly contributed to his lowly state... Do I feel responsible? No, he was a grown man that made a stupid choice, he found a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It was a learning lesson for me... I thank him for the contributions he gave to my life. But every story ends. He simply chose his ending.

I don't know the details of why his wife left. I'd been in basic during that time, and he did alot of traveling and wasn't around much.

Your mom is schizophrenic?   You must have had a very hard childhood.  Do her meds work?

She took the meds for a short time but eventually stopped because they made her "feel numb" and my dad never had the heart to force her into it. so she just... hears her voices and talks with her angels/demons...

and i imagine my childhood was no worse than most... after seeing children grow up in third world countries... i've learned we are as a species... quite resiliant...

No worries, Silk. Her number is posted on many sites. It's like the "9-1-1" helpline for people like your sister that no one else can help. She's practically brought people "back from the dead" in cases even worse.

I will delete my long msgs off here because I am getting too many complaints. Thanks for being nice about that!
