For "serial killers" there can be causes that aren't permanent. For the Son of Sam/David Berkowitz, after he was cured of his demonic sickness that possessed him to kill, he went back to being a normal person, even starting a ministry to teach about dangers of occult forces that led him down this path. Dr. Scott Peck wrote two books on evil people where spiritual demonic forces hijacked their personalities; in two patients he studied with such severe schizophrenia they could not be treated because they would not comply, after the demonic obsessions were removed, they regained their normal free will and control of their minds, so they could complete treatment. Such people could STILL be sociopathic in their patterns, but would no longer have those uncontrollable "evil voices" and obsessions with harming themselves or others that turned out NOT to be real or permanent personalities.
My 5 favorite quotes/explanations of love
1. To love is to care for someone's soul
You don't even have to like them, you can hate and detest what people are like or what they do, and still care for their souls as human beings who affect the whole.
To care for their well-being and health where they do not suffer or cause harm to themselves or others. To care for their happiness, satisfaction and spiritual growth where they achieve effective purpose in life. This can be done without judgment or without depending on emotional feelings of like or dislike.
2. To love is to understand
The more we understand someone we find things to love. The more we love someone the harder we seek to understand. These go together.
3. Immature love says "I love you because I need you";
Mature love says "I need you because I love you."
4. You like somebody "because"; You love somebody "although."
5. Love sux. Just kidding. How about Mother Teresa's quote, that we cannot always do great things, but we can do small things with great love?
No? Well then, how about "What's the difference between lust and love - spitting and swallowing"? Is that better?

You actually believe that shit? Demonic possession?
A bunch christians once told me I could be demonically possessed. I laughed.
How much demonic possession would you say goes unaddressed today? At least I don't hear it coming up as often as history itself, when they began to explain it away as things such as Ergotism, Monomania, Dissociative Identity Disorder, and others.

Honestly, I thought you were at peace because you knew these things and were over them. Not because you didn't know and didn't care.
Yes, it is real. The best book describing how this relates to trying to explain it scientifically is Dr. Scott Peck's book "Glimpses of the Devil" He also believed as a scientist that demonic voices were delusions in schizophrenic patients' heads. Until he challenged a friend to refer him two "possessed" patients who would change his mind. After the demons in his patients spat out things that his patients could not have known about him, he figured it out these were independent entities. It could not be proven by science, but it could be observed and documented that before the exorcisms they were so severely schizophrenic they could not even be treated. But after deliverance process, they regained their normal minds and free will that had been taken over by other personalities/personas. So Dr. Peck wrote his book urging professionals to research this as another field of therapy.
TK I thought you knew how evil spirits worked. I think if you studied this, you would have no problem understanding it is real. Only people with emotional barriers because they don't want to make Christians right would rather be wrong. One of my friends who got rid of his demons of rage from childhood abuse was cured of this obsession after this type of deliverance prayer, and he still won't talk about it and will barely admit it helped him. He just emotionally resents Christians so much, even though this prayer process worked to rid him of demonic rage. Like the patient in the book who compared the therapy as being so invasive it felt like rape, that's what my friend said it felt like too. It completely guts out anything and everything from your past like dying.
The best book that describes the exorcism/deliverance/healing process is HEALING by Francis MacNutt. Most Christians don't know the difference between the regular prayers and this deeper healing process, or can't explain it in plain scientific terms, so why should anyone else get it. There is a huge mental and media barrier because of the social segregation dividing science from religion. That's why I appreciate the people here who don't have such emotional stigmas.
Hi Turncoat. the more common manifestations are demonic oppression, and some are just the negative energies and not full entities. Like you can have demonic rage without it being a demon, it can just be the demonic energy.
I would say these are as common as drug addictions, self-harm in cutting or eating disorders, some cancer cases, some homosexuality cases caused by sexual abuse, pedophilia or stalking/serial criminal addictions.
I believe most sickness would be reduced to manageable levels, if not cured or prevented, if spiritual healing were proven medically and not kept isolated.
Some schizophrenia and multiple personalities can be caused by demonic influences. My friend Olivia healed one woman with MPD caused by a legion of demons that she saw as spitting like snakes. I think that is in the mind of the healer on the level where we see or remember dreams, but they see these manifestations while they are awake. There is no way the heads can physically spin around; the demons mess with the minds of the healers to try to scare them off. it is real but on a different spiritual/energy level than the physical world. In Dr. MacNutt's book on HEALING he also mentions a schizophrenic patient who is healed by deliverance prayer. And Dr. Peck's books on People of the Lie and Glimpses of the Devil cites two cases he studied of schizophrenic patients who were not even treatable until after they went through exorcism first.
