I will try and participate. It might be hard to imagine people here, since I know only so much. Might I suggest using a voice recorder instead of writing? It might be easier and faster, to catch the memory before it starts to evaporate. Would listening to a recording help to gain control and imagery? Have your own voice repeat what you want to do in the dream. It would also repeat as you sleep, so it might even help reinforce during actual sleep.
I think this is amazing... I never heard of anyone to manage such control over their dreams. If it could be done, don't you think there would be schools to teach you this, and an entire hype around it? Everyone wants to control their dreams.
My issue with this is that I read somewhere that the brain dreams what it "needs" to dream. Wouldn't messing with dreams somehow impact on the mind in a negative way?
Where did you read this??? As far as I know, Freud only talked about the oniric process, but he wasn't really interested in biological sleep (I'm sure he might've talked about it, but it was nothing deep).
Oniric processes just represent a small percentage of our sleep. If we spent 8 hours dreaming, our minds wouldn't rest as they should.
Anyway, I'm gonna take part in your experiment. Sounds interesting...
