She did admit to being on a medication used to treat panic disorders and depression.
Of course. If I wanted to keep such a commonplace thing a secret, why would I put it on a public forum. "Admitted" sounds as though I was being interrogated. I said I was posting a lot due to Effexor giving me insomnia (mania). Since my husband died, I have been on Effexor, there is no shame in this, and the millions of depressed people in the US are a protected class under the Americans with Disabilites Act (President Clinton, 1996). My niece is on the same meds, and is an honor student at an Ivy League college. And I do not regret the piece I wrote, of course, and can post it on other venues if I like. (PR Log has an ediorial board) You do know I wouldn't have mentioned meds or the exact name of the meds if I didn't mind people knowing, right? And that depression has been viewed since the '70s as a destigmatized medical and clinical condition, and that millions of Americans take these pharmaceuticals daily, right?
