Some artists are skilled , which helps their product sell itself.
Others have to sell themselves AND their product.
Still others sell only themselves, with their product as their icon.

but I will do it out of truth. i will simply show the world what i would like to do, present my arguement, gain their support, and then point out the congress people who are holding it up. let their constituents take care of it.
by involving our nation more deeply in the decision process of the direction of the nation, they will trust the government more. they will internalize the struggles that our government faces, and see teh reasons why. misunderstanding is leading to a lack of trust in our world. it's not good for us. we need to take back the government, and use the pwoer of the internet to make it more transparent and INCLUDE the masses in the deceision process and fill them in on everything.
Selling requires good presentation and knowledge of the product. You do have to sell yourself to a certain degree by maintaining a professional appearance, being assertive, showing confidence and displaying strong leadership capabilities.
Sucess does require a certain amount of skill. Not everyone is capable of selling glasses to a blind man, but for those who are, the financial reward is far greater because he or she is more likely to be successful over a longer period of time.
I would like to see 3D printing and nanotechnology create a world of post-scarcity. That won't happen, since intellectual property will be the bigger commodity. If only all that money used for weaponry and harm were to buy food, shelter, and education for every single human being on Earth. That won't happen. We need to uninvent money and make greed an evolutionary dead-end.
