hi wilful,

when we consider reality, what we see only exists in the minds of ourselves, and of others. this is where information lies. for this reason, i think we as humans really enjoy socializing. not only the talking part, but something deeper.

this is a website that unites a certain group of individuals. most of these individuals are here because of the social aspect. being a part of something. it's a community, right? we come here to kill time, or perhaps we come here to reach out to other people. no matter what reason we come here, we do come here, and a lot of time is spent here. so why not make that time mean something?

why is it that when this group of indivdiuals visit this site, why cna't we accomplish something that holds meaning?

as human beings, we have the power to envision something and then work to bring it to life. if we all were to adopt the same vision, and work toward it, i think we can accomplsih it. we just have to find our niche.

what you mean by a maze?

okay, so about the website making money.. i don't expect to make money. ME doesn't care about it, and i just don't see donations paying the bills. i really do not expect it.

the idea that i was introducing is that you guys act as sales reps for our web development business, and we give 20% of whatever the client pays us. not really so much as a forum thing, but more as.. who ever is interested in working together.

my goal for this forum is to make it grow. i plan to try to encourage growth with updates. i have no plans at all to end the site or make money from it.

your job would be to find potential clients. this happens in several ways.

1. advertisements (coutesy of us) - this includes local phonebook, craigslist, newspaper, website
2. networking - you will need to join networking meetings as a web professional.
3. people you know - look for perhaps a friend of a friend who manages or owns a small company.

Once you find a potential client, you need to try to figure out what their goal is. How can our skills help their company make money? Some methods of this is to check their current website. Is it good? Is SEO good? What impression does a potential customer get? Can it be improved on?

Once you find a way to help their company, we write a proposal outlining what we would like to do for them, and how much it will cost. It is your job to pass the proposal on to the potential client.

If the client agrees to the proposal, they must pay 60% up front, and from this 60%, you will recieve your 20% commision. This isn't 20% commision of the 60%, but 20% of the toal 100% which will be written in the proposal.

After you get paid, your job is to maintain relationships with the client, and idealy get referals to keep new clients coming in.

If we assume you are a success, than we can hopefully mvoe away from 100% commision, and give you an office and salary, but that is the future.

half the posts of this forum is controversy and blunt honesty.  having any type of moderator would kill that
