It's not like I'd be conscious of what happens after either. After it's done, there is no room for regret, it's just over.

It however was why I asked whose hell, as some people's perspectives of it seem tollerable.

 So it seems that a number of people prefer nonexistence to pain.   Okay.  Hopefully, a concerned and compassionate person such as myself can take all the pain away for you.  Forever.  Call it a God complex.

 Out of curiosity, why would the majority rather spend life in prison instead of just ending it?

What life in prison does one have, anyways..

 A life that isn't dead.  Alive to still make choices, grow, and exist.  It is the hardest gamble to take betting on an afterlife or whatever.  Would you rather endure open heart surgery without any anesthetic and live another twenty years, at least, or would you rather live for only one more year, dying painlessly?

A life worth living is a life worth defending. Living just counting the days and enduring misery doesn't sound like living to me.

The heart surgery bit has other clauses, like it's price tag, and if your life is one worth keeping.

 Life in prison isn't so bad...

You can get all kinds of shit in there with the right connections.

 And you would know this how?

 I know people who have spent time in prison. That's how.
