A terrible species indeed. We don't even taste very good.
Life has no value. When you die, only your impact on this planet remains. Having sex.. it doesn't have a very positive impact on Humanity (other than reproduction), working to move humanity foward on the other hand is much more noble and selfless.
Having as much fun as possible does not give life value. It simply gives you happiness. It's selfish. It's okay to be happy, but it should be in the process of acheiving your goals that contribute to a cause greater than yourself.
I understand that you find meaning in the progress of humanity, but there's no logic that says that I should too. In fact, I find it much more logical to just do what brings me the most happiness and I've often found that it's the little things that are fun in life. Humans are simple creatures, Luna. Tend your garden.
Hm, yeah, upon further research, I guess we're more of an aquired taste.
And yeah, these people would disagree I suppose.
This is an incredibly naive, narrow perspective. Sex is a means through which parents bond. Happy parents are more likely to be good parents. Good parents raise well-balanced children, who in turn contribute positively to humanity.
Who hurt you so badly that you are so closed off to your own sexuality?
I recommend that you not answer that, here, but it is clear that you have some very deeply rooted hang ups. Perhaps you should think about trying to work through some of them. You are denying a fundamental part of your own humanity by deriding something that you have not even yet tasted.
You don't know everything, Luna. Give yourself some room to grow.
