I'm not greedy having a job that starts at 6 figures is plenty for me... and with my background, training, and contacts on the outside, that will not be hard at all.
I'd rather not have the stress of running my own business.
"I can't enjoy it though because when I look at it, I see nothing special."
It's the little things that give life value. Focusing on the big picture can lead to disappointment if something gums up the works (eugh, happened to me recently). At the very least, living for both gives room to adjust your views when things go wrong.
"Just like so many people are just like you, Turncoat, and you, Jay. They think getting a nice car is nothing more than to impress girls."
I'm a tad bit more practical than that, mostly because I can handwave how bad something looks with the right words. With the right set of eyes, you can find people who are looking for more than a flashy appearance, they just tend to take more time and effort. Appearing impressive at times can get needlessly expensive, while charm itself doesn't have a price attached.
"are you using your Friday nights at parties networking with potential business partners, looking out for your future, or are you spending those Friday nights picking up useless party girls who will likely never have the ability to help you in your financial goals."
It's possible to do both you know, if you organize your time spent properly. If my Friday is something related to work, I'll just bump my fun to a different day. There's more to life than money, money simply makes it easier.
"I want to play the game as someone who isn't the masses."
It doesn't take much to not be like everyone else.
"Who doesn't follow the hive mind that is human instinct."
Live a little, there's a bit more to it than that. Things that are physical aren't mindless.
If by the end of all of this, you have a mountain of money and tons of success, but everyone just sees you as a workaholic, wouldn't that get lonely? If you were to be on your death bed only with thoughts of buisiness, what life have you lived?
Balance is ideal I'd argue here.
