LOL you're so cute when you feel inadequate. :)
Sociopath and psychopath are the same.
Differences between a psychopath and a narcissist:
A narcissist must be more than self serving, he must have a sense of being "better" than others. It is not a mere tool. However some psychopaths have strong narcissistic traits as well.
Both a psychopath and a narcissist might use other people. They might use them for the same things but generally psychopaths want their goal while the narcissist want to prove his superiority.
Narcissists might be less impulsive and get in less trouble. They might not commit crime. Psychopaths can also be law abiding but impulsiveness is common. Narcissists are generally more patient.
When a narcissist has power over you, he will be triggered if you signal you are on his level and he will want to crush you. A psychopath boss sees you as a tool. When you have finished your job you are useless.
Both can cause a lot of problems especially as parents. Can't say one is better than the other. But out in society, the narcissist is usually not very physically violent, but specializes in emotional violence and manipulation.
Also because of the impulsiveness of the psychopathy, promiscuity, hypersexuality and criminal actions without any plans might be more common. Some narcissists are even asexual.
The two cuts into each other a lot. There are psychopaths with narcissistic traits and narcissists with psychopathic traits. A narcissist can be quite refined and he likes jobs like being a doctor, politician and similar. A psychopath if he has strong impulsiveness will be quite similar to one another, predator like and very interested in primal instincts, sex and money. Only a few psychopaths have a real planning skill tha works over time and not just by manipulation here and now.
I have seen narcissism in combination with schizophrenia and mood disorder, and female ASPD (a wider concept than psychopathy) in combination with BPD. Don't know if that means anything.
