So how many times should you have died. You know, just by sheer luck you are able to read what I'm writting right now.
There are at least five times I can think of off the top of my head that I should be dead. Anyone else?
1 firefight, 2 ieds, 1 RPG, Multiple close calls on a motorcycle, one actual accident on a motorcycle where I hit a car going about 40 MPH, 1 car wreck, a parachute jump where I ended up getting stuck in someone elses risers...
There have been several times where I should have died.. It's kinda crazy looking at them all piled up like that...
Your question is rather ambiguous. If you are referring to incidents characterized by reckless risk-taking, then my answer would be a bunch of times- particularly on my skis, in behaving aggressively towards individuals much stronger than me, and occasionally behind the wheel. But if you are referring to accidents and close-calls, then my response would be infrequently, as I have never so much as broken a bone. :P
I've been skydiving. That must have been real freaky. What steps did you take, specifically, to extricate yourself from that little mess?
As an addendum to my last post, I'll mention that I once whacked my head on the diving board whilst performing a complicated aerial maneuver: a reverse one and a half, to be specific. I guess that would count as a close call. :P
This was mass exit static line jumping (dozens exit, one after the other). Not civilian accelerated free fall...
Using T-10 Parachutes which aren't very responcive to steering.... nothing like what you would use in free fall.
and basically I ended up walking (it's fairly solid when deployed) on this guys chute and off the side, when I did my chute oscilated into his risers... but I manage to weeve my way back out before around 200 feet and pulled a slip to get away... was a pretty trippy experience...
