Its not about the impeachment at all. the dems would love to imeach if they had any actual evidence but since they dont, its become a smear campaign. funny thing is, their constant low blows and legally/ideologically questionable hits ended up revealing that the far-left has taken over the democratic party (along with major news networks). its all about distracting the voters, especially from how much the dem views have changed, and trying to gain enough support to win the elections

I think the highlight of the proceedings goes to the republican representative, from texas i think,  that said: when the dems gained majority control over the senate, they could have used that power to pass important bills but instead they have devoted a majority of their time to pursuing impeachment, they have passed more subpoenas than actual bills.

right, lowering the bar on impeachment due to political hate. Dems are only hurting themselves.

They should spend this valuable time developing an actually moderate center Dem to go against Trump in 2020. Instead Trump will win in another landslide because everyone sees through their butthurt irrational madness.

 so true, theyre playing a dangerous game that could take away a chunk of the diverse views the old dem platform brought to the table. now we could see a republican system with no competition. and im a classical liberal so that would be fine with me if it wasnt aware how negative it is to lose diverse viewpoints

and im just throwing this out there: they knew the impeachment would never get past the senate with its rep. majority so clearly they had other motives to make it so worth their time

The timing of it defeats the entire purpose.
